Fitzgerald- The Camel’s Back (From Tales of the Jazz Age)

Posted on Updated on

This story comes right out of Fitzgerald’s Story Collection, Tales of the Jazz Age

“I suppose that of all the stories I have ever written this one cost me the least travail and perhaps gave me the most amusement.” – F. Scott FitzgeraldTales of the Jazz Age

It’s possible to describe this story in only 3 words. Those words could be: Love, Parties & Camels, or they could be: Misdirection, Deceit & Mistakes. Either way, this short story is one many, may or may not, find amusing, at least not in the way that Fitzgerald was amused by writing this story.

Personally, it’s not one of my favorites. But, what’s that to stop you? Try your own hand at this 20 page tale and let yourself be the judge.
